NCPeds Endowment

NCPEDS LEGACY FUND

In 2015, NCPeds established our endowment, the NCPeds Legacy Fund.  Our fund is housed at, and managed by, the North Carolina Community Foundation, a statewide foundation that is responsible for investing more than $200M in assets and administering over 1,200 different endowments. The NCPeds Legacy Fund is designed to provide perpetual and sustainable financial support for NCPeds and our operations, projects, and programs.

The NCPeds Legacy Fund provides an additional option for giving by members and supporters of our mission.  Gifts to the NCPeds Legacy Fund can be made now or included in a will or other estate planning.

TO INCLUDE THE NCPEDDS LEGACY FUND IN YOUR ESTATE PLANS

There are a number of ways to give to the NCPeds Legacy Fund as part of your estate planning. Among the popular ways are:

  • Specifying in your will that a percentage of your estate or specific amount will be given to the NCPeds Legacy Fund
  • Naming the NCPeds Legacy Fund as the primary beneficiary or one of the beneficiaries of a previously existing or new life insurance policy
  • Contributing assets from qualified retirement plans

To support the NCPeds Legacy Fund, the following language can be customized and added to your will:

“I give, devise and bequeath to the North Carolina Community Foundation, Inc., a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization located in Raleigh, North Carolina, ______ percent of my residual estate [or a specific bequest of $_____, or other personal or real property appropriately described], to be directed to the NCPeds Legacy Fund, a component fund of the Foundation.”
